EAE 701-MEASUREMENT THEORIES - Section 4
This course provides the theoretical foundation for the construction of tests and analyses of test scores. It introduces the concepts and techniques of classical test theory (CTT) and item-response theory (IRT). The course develops the student’s deep understanding of the use and application of these theories to achievement testing at the student level, in large-scale testing, and in comparison of student achievement across different educational and social settings. At the end of the course, the students are expected to demonstrate the use of CTT and IRT in educational measurement specifically in analyzing test data.
