PEDAGOGICAL THEORY AND PRACTICE - MA READ 5-MA READ LQ-NS-5
The course focuses on the review and practical application of various theories and concepts of pedagogy based on the nature and learning process of specific disciplines. Students will have a critical understanding of these theories and concepts and how they are applied to facilitate students’ learning in the classroom. Among other things, students present a mini-demo and create a portfolio that reflects their pedagogical approach. At the end of the course, students are expected to have developed or refined their personal theory of instruction based on their analysis and reflection about effective pedagogical practices. The course contributes to attaining outcomes as an expert practitioner who exhibits the habit of the mind by reflecting on practices seen from the theoretical paradigm.
