Students in the course critically examine the application of the various theories of learning in the context of the present-day education practices including concomitant issues, problems, and challenges: aimed at providing the students viable opportunities to generate some theoretical implications and considerations that may be useful in determining their rightful place in various specific educational scenarios.

The course examines the questions that define the field of Curriculum with special emphasis on the fundamental and emerging philosophical, sociological, and psychological underpinnings that influence the curriculum.

Students explore on and analyze the changing and differing views and perspectives on curriculum and curricular practices gleaned from their philosophical, sociological, and psychological contexts with the end view of making them become more adept and rationalistic in dealing with the curriculum as it relates to the over-all thrusts of education.
