The MC 704 Group Process and Program Development Course aims to introduce counseling students to the theory and practice of group work. It also focuses on the study of group development, group leadership, and theories in relation to group guidance and group counseling. Specifically, students will explore different theoretical approaches to counseling groups; leadership skills, group developmental stages, and program development.
This course also allows students to explore the group experience as both a leader and a participant, as well as learn the foundations of effective group counseling and how to apply it to different client populations.
