The course provides pre-service teachers an opportunity to design learning environments that are safe, secure, fair and responsive to the needs of diverse learners in varied learning contexts. It equips them with knowledge and skills in planning and developing appropriate classroom structures and activities that promote learner engagement and self-regulated learning. It equips them with strategies in managing learner behaviors that enhance discipline, purposive learning and increase academic achievement.
