First Year

This 3-unit course examines the nature of personal identity, investigating the factors and forces that shape and sustain it. Through reflective and experiential pedagogies, students will analyze the complexities of identity formation, maintenance, and development, considering personal, cultural, societal, emotional, spiritual and other influences. They will compile a portfolio demonstrating their development of self-awareness, empathy and respect, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
