Instructional Materials Design and Development II: Digital Video and Animation is a graduate course for MA in Educational Technology students. It trains learners to design, develop, and evaluate instructional media using video and animation. The course covers the structure of a video lesson, scriptwriting and storytelling, and the roles of a production team. Students will gain hands-on experience with video editing, animation, and the integration of emerging technologies such as AI in multimedia development. Guided by Mayer’s 12 Principles of Multimedia Learning, TPACK, and other frameworks, the course builds both technical skills and teaching effectiveness. By the end, students will create their own video lessons with animation, showcasing their ability to produce engaging and effective digital learning resources.
