ABNORMAL PSYCHOLOGY - BS/MA-PSYC 2-II-6 BSMA TP-S-PC10 (T/F 07:00AM-09:00AM/07:00AM-09:00AM)

The course is a comprehensive analysis of the different psychological disorders, including their nature, types, etiologies, signs and symptoms, and psychotherapeutic treatments or interventions. Focus shall be on the major disorders listed in the most recent version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM). Students will apply their knowledge of the personality theories in examining the nature and origin of various psychological disorders through case studies. At the end of the course, students will demonstrate competence in characterizing and explaining the etiology of the major psychological disorders.
