This course provides a comprehensive exploration of curriculum design and instructional strategies for learners with learning disabilities. It emphasizes integrating contemporary theories, assessment methodologies, and technological innovations across diverse educational settings. Students engage in curriculum planning that incorporates Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Differentiated Instruction (DI) to create inclusive lesson plans. Through collaborative and reflective practices, the course prepares students to become expert practitioners, capable of promoting equitable and inclusive education. The course culminates in peer demonstration teaching, showcasing gender-responsive and disability-inclusive approaches within traditional and inclusive classrooms.

FOUNDATIONS OF GIFTED EDUCATION - MA SNIED 5-1 SNIED 703(S 07:00AM-10:00AM)
The course focuses on the fundamental concepts and theories in Gifted Education. It aims for the development of a clear understanding of
the gifted learners in terms of the cognitive, academic, social and emotional aspects of their being, and a strong grounding on the different
areas of giftedness and the various categories and types of gifted learners. It explores the different approaches and models in identifying
and nurturing learner’s creativity, and the existing upperventions to address the educational concerns of gifted learners. At the end of the course, the students are challenged to evaluate the existing programs of the gifted in the country and to develop a program that advocates the development of the Filipino gifted and talented learners.
